Current overview

A variety of activities and amenities to enhance the park, including sports, social and historical facilities are being examined in consultation with the local community.

Proposals

The general aims of the Trust’s Plan for the Park are to:

  1. Maintain and where possible enhance facilities for existing users
  2. Find new uses to encourage greater public use
  3. Increase and improve wildlife and flora habitat
  4. Minimise opportunity for anti social behaviour within the park
  5. Increase Safety within the park
  6. Maintain existing short cuts and desire lines throughout the park
  7. Investigate new opportunities to help pay for the future of the park
  8. Enhance the setting of the new monument
  9. Provide a framework so that the park can be upgraded in recognisable phases as necessary with separate identifiable areas for sponsorship.
