Having the interest of our Island’s heritage and people close to its heart the Trustees have identified Delancey Park as the focus for its first project.
A variety of activities and amenities to enhance the park, including sports, social and historical facilities are being examined with the local community and sponsoring partners.
As a catalyst for these activities it is proposed to reconstruct the Admiral de Saumarez monument which was demolished during the Occupation. Restoring this in a 21st century style will provide an iconic landmark of which our community can be proud and which will enrich the island’s heritage for future generations.
In uncertain times there is a need to draw strength from the past, to be bold, to promote regeneration ventures and look to the future.
